TRISTAN'S 5TH BIRTHDAY!

I can't believe Tristan is 5!!!! He is growing up too fast.  Tristan had 2 parties this year.  His first party was at McDonald's.  He invited a few kids from school.

Tristan had so much fun! By the way, the blond with the mustache is "Jenna" Tristan wants to marry her because she is the prettiest girls he has ever seen and she wears dresses!

The following day Tristan had his family and close friends over to celebrate his special day!

HAVING FUN WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY!

I finally found some time to update my blog. It's 10pm on a Saturday...the kids are upstairs sleeping and Chris is snoring beside me on the couch! 

We have definetly made the best of the past few months.  A few weeks ago we went to The Stewart's new home to celebrate Julia's birthday!  We had a lot of fun hanging out.  Here are some pics..

The next two pics where taken at Cassie and Carl Buccellato's.  We had a wonderful dinner with them on Good Friday.  The kids had fun decorating easter eggs and playing. We are going to miss them!  They will be moving to Chicago at the end of the month.

The following pics are of Sofia's 2nd birthday.  We had the family over the Saturday before Easter.   I decided to get a little creative with the birthday cake.  I was up until 1am the  night before the party making a Lamb cake. Realizing that the Lamb cake was not going to serve everyone...the day of her party I also made an Easter Basket cake. 

I thought they turned out pretty good! Sofia loved the Lamb cake!!

Since the party was so close to Easter, we had an Easter egg hunt! I didn't get that many pics cause it was snowing and I was cold standing out there!

The next pics were taken on Sofia's actual birthday..April 11th.  It was on a week day.  We had a little party for her... Tristan dressed up in a shirt, wet his hair and styled it! he made a gift and wrapped it all by himself!  During the day nana was over and they made a strawberry short cake.  As a treat we also ate cheetos and played hiding o seek and musical chairs!  It was a fun night!

THE WINTER MONTHS!

 Boy it has been reeallllly cold these past few weeks!  We have been trying to stay warm by keeping busy! Tristan started the new year taking  skating lessons! He is doing great...I am so proud of my little guy.  He will be playing hockey before you know it!

For all of you who live in Michigan know just how much rain we got in December!  Well...our back yard became a pond and in January it turned into our very own ice rink!!!  How lucky are we!

Everyone is having fun learning how to skate!  I managed to learn how to do a double axel.  The next picture is me getting ready to my very fancy double axel...

...and for some reason the photographer (my hubby Chris) missed the unbelievable most beautiful jump! He was too busy photographing Sofie's footprints!

He did manage to get the landing though...it wasn't pretty!

We have been spending time in the house.  Tristan supervised while I did some painting.  Chris is a slave driver!

My little man is always having fun.  He finds happiness in everything he does!  Winter is not so bad when you have wonderful kids that keep you smiling!!!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

I am really enjoying the holiday season!  Now that Tristan is 4 years old he is really starting to get the Santa thing! It is so much fun listening to him talk about Santa.  I think it has brought out the kid in both Chris and I.  We have had a great couple of days preparing for the big day.  We Went to Canterbury village yesturday to visit Santa.  Tristan told him exactly what he wanted....Sofia on the other hand wanted nothing to do with him! I couldn't get a picture of her with him...Oh well, maybe next year.

What a great place to see Santa.  There was no line and you can take your own pictures! Tristan talked to Santa for a good 5 minutes!

Have you ever seen a PINK Christmas tree??

We had a great time.  Lots of ornaments to see! We bought a Star for the tree.  Now that Tristan knows the story about Jesus and why we have Christmas we decided to replace the Santa we had on the top of our tree with a Star. Tristan picked out the Star and he also placed it on the tree.

Friday night I went over to Alana's to help her make some Christmas cookies! It was fun! Dianna was there and so was Papa!  Here are some pictures.
